I have been studying the word “strong” for the past few weeks and the below verse is where I landed today.
“13Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” – 1 Corinthians 16:13 (ESV)
As Christians, we have a duty to follow God and do His will as we travel the path He has laid out for us. Encouragement and instruction is what I need from Him each day. This verse does it, especially the final 2 words “be strong”. It is all to easy to give up when thing get a bit difficult. When things are tough and I find myself needing a way to get through, I can really use a pick me up and a way to finish.
“1I love you, O LORD, my strength.” – Psalm 18:1 (ESV)
And there you have it, the way to get through which is in line with the verse in 1 Corinthians. Lean on God for the way to make it through. As the title of my post this morning reads, “finally, be strong”.
