God has a Definite Plan

Ever go into something without a real plan, you just show up and expect everything to go as you want it to or thought is should? Well, that is something that God does not do, nor will or has He ever experienced.

22Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that god did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know—23this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.” – Acts 2:22-23 (ESV)

Imagine that, God sent Jesus, knowing full well what was in store for Him. He was delivered to this world for our good, not His own. He was then presented and charged, not for doing anything wrong, but for being who He was. He was crucified (killed or murdered if you will) for just being Jesus, even when found not to have done anything wrong. And God allowed it to happen as a part of his definite plan.

Now, when God has such a plan of death for His only son in the flesh, wouldn’t it make sense that He has a definite plan for me. His plan for Jesus was death so that I would not have to die, wouldn’t His plan for me then be life to spread the gospel of that death. And wouldn’t He protect me and provide for me as a part of that plan so that it will be carried out to the full extent and completion.

God had a definite plan for Jesus and He has a definite plan for me. My job is to seek out that plan and always to be moving forward in that plan. I may not always know what is in store around the next bend as I carry out God’s plan, but my task is to go anyway and know that God’s definite plan is in the works and that plan includes me.

Are you aware that God’s plan is currently in the works? Where do you fit into that plan? What if you simply did the work God has for you and know that it is all part of His definite plan?
