We are to Love and Bless

Living a life like Christ means that I am to love. Love all. Well to go along with that love is to bless.

“⁸Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. ⁹Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.” – 1 Peter 3:8-9 (ESV)

I have to bless for this I was “called” to do. I am tasked with doing the work of God in this world and when I really look at it, love is action and so is to bless. One is done with the other in mind. I am to bless to show love and I am loving to be a blessing. When I think of the one, the other is part of the equation by default.

I am here to not think of myself. I am here to think of you. And as I think of you, I love you and bring you blessing through my actions in this world. I LOVE YOU, and I BLESS YOU!

I may not know you. I cannot see you. I do not get to personally speak with you in general, but that does not stop me from loving and blessing you. You are my purpose as given to me by God. You are the one I am here to reach. God placed me here to be love for you and bless you.

When you look at your life, what are you here for? God loves you and provides blessings for you, are you aware of that? Will you be love and blessing for others?
