God continues to teach me over and over again from the same passages. This morning I am in Psalm 90 and was here back in September of 2018. I was studying the word “teach” and today, the word “satisfy”. My focus is two verses later in the passage, and my learning is so great.
“14Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” – Psalm 90:14 (ESV)
How often have I gotten up in the morning looking to be satisfied? How often have I looked to the world to be satisfied?
I have the choice to live for Christ and when doing so I will be satisfied regardless of what happens in the world. I should not be hanging on for the worlds view of me. The world has nothing to offer me related to satisfaction. All comes from God and He is where I should look. When I go to bed in the evening I will be satisfied with tomorrow before it even arrives. I have been given the gift of salvation and in that I will be satisfied.
I will continue to do the work of God each day and look to Him as He is where I direct my actions. I work to please and glorify God and the world does not have to accept that for I am not looking to the world. I am satisfied each hour of the day. And if I am not satisfied, I have only myself to blame and I will take action to direct again to my Lord to regain satisfaction.
How are you approaching the day? Are you looking for satisfaction from a world that does not even know you? Are you satisfied for tomorrow before you go to bed today?
