How often do we really declare His glory?
“23Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Tell of his salvation from day to day. 24Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!” – 1 Chronicles 16:23-24 (ESV)
David was always declaring the glory of the Lord. He was public with his praise. He was overt in his approach and did not hide his emotion.
Why am I not the same?
I am a different person than David of course, but shouldn’t my approach be similar. Look at the verses above and see the exclamation points. I can see the emotion in the words and can imagine the energy transfer as though at a concert with thousands of other people.
I should embrace the energy and emotion and use the same approach in my declarations of the glory of the Lord. Displaying my appreciation for our Lord and the glory He provides. And all of this done as often as possible. Even place time in my calendar to declare His glory.
I wonder, are you in a similar place that I am? Will you accept the energy and emotion from others? Will you work to find opportunities to declare His glory?
