I have everything I need and could ever need in Christ.
“13And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.” — Colossians 2:13-14 (ESV)
All that I am guilty of has been forgiven. All that I will be guilty of has been forgiven. I am free from the yoke of sin and can focus my attention on doing the work of Christ for His glory. I have been woken to a life of Christ as I go through this world. I have the opportunity to go about life clean and fresh thanks to His death, burial, and resurrection.
“11In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.” — Colossians 2:11-12 (ESV)
As Christ died, so did my sin. He took my sin with Him to the cross and accepted the consequence of it even as He was guilty of none of it. I have been forgiven so that I can live. I am now alive in Christ thanks to that forgiveness and now I can proceed to live for Christ at every turn of my new life.
What sins are in your life? Are you walking around wondering about your forgiveness and your life? What if you were to accept the fact that Christ died for your forgiveness and now you are alive in Him?
